Stopping drugs means attacking every link in the chain - from manufacturing, to transport, to local dealers. And it means making one thing clear: WE will NOT tolerate DRUG DEALING in
Granville County.
People are dying. Families are grieving. One accidental exposure can take a life. As Sheriff, I will not look the other way while this poison destroys our community.
FIGHTING DRUGS ISN'T ABOUT SLOGANS
It’s about experience, discipline, and doing the job the right way-from the street to the courtroom.
Stopping drugs means attacking every link in the chain - from manufacturing, to transport, to local dealers. And it means making one thing clear: WE will NOT tolerate DRUG DEALING in Granville County.
We will strengthen interdiction through strong partnerships-working closely with neighboring counties, state, and federal agencies to stop fentanyl and other illegal drugs before they reach our communities.
We will focus on interdiction along known trafficking corridors to stop dangerous drugs before they reach our communities, using trained deputies and K-9 teams deployed lawfully and professionally. At the same time, we target local dealers who sell poison in our neighborhoods
and near our schools.
We will target Vape Shops that sell to minors and distribute illegal drugs under the table.
We will also go after manufacturing operations. Targeting drug labs - whether producing fentanyl mixtures, methamphetamine, or other illegal substances that endanger families, first responders, and entire communities. Shutting production labs requires experience and old fashion police work, supported by legal process to build criminal cases that will stand up in court.
Intelligence acquisition drives investigations and provides the backbone to target local distribution and manufacturing operations. This information will move quickly to Drug Agents and School Resource Officers to initiate investigations and help protect campuses. K-9 Units will support interdiction and enforcement efforts by detecting drugs, deterring crime, and helping build solid criminal cases.
With fentanyl, the response is urgent and uncompromising: aggressive enforcement paired with lifesaving overdose response-because saving lives comes first.
Manufacturing, trafficking, and selling drugs- especially fentanyl- will not be
tolerated anymore. We will stop it on the road, shut it down in our county, and
protect our children. Exposure to drugs in any setting can be deadly and we must take it seriously. NO SHORTCUTS. Just disciplined, experienced law
enforcement focused on saving lives.

Stopping drugs before they enter Granville County is critical. As Sheriff, I will strengthen and expand partnerships with state, regional, and federal interdiction units to disrupt trafficking routes and dismantle supply
chains
before they reach our communities.
● Targeted patrols and interdiction teams focused on known travel
corridors and peak trafficking time.
● Advanced training for deputies on legal indicators, search-and-
seizure law, and thorough case documentation to ensure arrests hold
up in court.
● Strategic use of K-9 units, governed by clear policy, supervision, and
constitutional standards.

Establish a multi-jurisdictional Drug Enforcement Task Force made up of
every law-enforcement agency operating in Granville County to aggressively
target drug traffickers and organized supply networks.
Effective drug enforcement depends on strong partnerships and real-time
intelligence sharing. As Sheriff, I will
lead this effort by bringing
agencies together, coordinating resources, and ensuring cases move
forward—not fall apart.
● Strengthen partnerships that multiply manpower and investigative
capability.
● Work closely with the SBI, DEA, ATF (when appropriate), neighboring
counties, and existing Task Forces.
● Share intelligence quickly and consistently so cases are built
properly and don’t die on the vine.

Local drug dealers who profit from addiction, overdose, and death will not be tolerated. Enforcement efforts will focus on identifying, arresting, and
prosecuting those distributing fentanyl and other dangerous narcotics in
our communities.
This strategy targets traffickers—not just users—by building solid, court-ready cases against those fueling the drug trade.
● Focus investigations on suppliers and mid-level dealers through CID
and narcotics operations.
● Use controlled buys, surveillance, and search warrants to dismantle
distribution networks.
● Track repeat offenders and drug “hot spots” using data-driven
deployment to direct resources where they are most needed.

As Sheriff, I will not allow cases to fall apart after an arrest. That means tight evidence control, thorough documentation, and early coordination with
prosecutors-from the first stop to the courtroom. When we put handcuffs on a trafficker, the job isn’t finished until the case is constitutional, court ready, and built to stick.
● Strict chain-of-custody standards, body-camera compliance, and
strong report writing.
● Early coordination with the District Attorney so charges
match the evidence from day one.
● Priority on high-impact cases involving trafficking networks and
fentanyl distribution.

Fentanyl is killing our neighbors, and I will treat it like the deadly weapon it is.
As Sheriff, stopping fentanyl before it reaches our streets will be a top
enforcement priority, and those who traffic it will be held fully accountable.
● Overdose mapping and rapid response to identify and
disrupt active clusters.
● Aggressive pursuit of fentanyl trafficking charges when supported by
evidence.
● Naloxone availability and deputy training to ensure life-saving
response comes first.

We will reduce demand by pairing strong enforcement with real off-
ramps-holding traffickers accountable while connecting users to help, treatment, and a way out.
● Expand treatment referrals and recovery partnerships.
● Jail-based screening and reentry planning to reduce relapse.
● Support prevention education in schools that’s real, not fluff.
● Working with State and Local Leaders to Close Gaps in Drug Enforcement
● Aligning Law Enforcement and Legislative Efforts to Combat Drug Trafficking

Drug enforcement is about protecting our children. As Sheriff, I will strengthen
coordination between interdiction efforts, school safety operations, and K-9 units to keep drugs out of schools and away from youth centered spaces.
Businesses that sell vapes to minors or traffic illegal substances will be targeted and held accountable.
● Strong coordination between School Resource Officers and narcotics intelligence.
● Rapid response to threats, fentanyl-tainted vapes, an dealer activity around campuses.
● Anonymous tip lines and proactive parent outreach to encourage reporting and early intervention.
There is no higher duty than protecting our children, and every lawful resource
will be used to keep our schools and communities safe.

Illegal drug manufacturing-including pill presses and fentanyl processing-will be aggressively targeted. Those producing poison for our streets will be held accountable to the fullest extent of the law.
● Identify and dismantle local manufacturing sites, including pill-press operations and fentanyl processing locations.
● Target supply chains and distribution hubs, not just end-level dealers.
● Partner with state and federal agencies to pursue enhanced charges and longer sentences where applicable.
● Seize equipment, proceeds, and assets tied to illegal manufacturing operations.
● Build cases designed for maximum prosecutorial impact, ensuring offenders do not return to the streets.

Drug enforcement doesn’t work without the community. If you see dealing, trafficking, or activity that puts our kids at risk, say something. Tips can be reported anonymously-and they matter. As Sheriff, I will make sure every credible tip is taken seriously, acted on quickly, and followed through the right way,
● Easy, anonymous reporting options by text, web, and phone.
● Consistent follow-up with visible results, so the public sees what’s
being stopped.
● Community meetings focused on facts—not politics.

Internal accountability will be non-negotiable-same standards, every person, every time.
● Professionalism to mission.
● Clear policies, supervision, and audits for narcotics operations.
● Zero tolerance for evidence
issues.
● Body cam and documentation standards enforced.

This is about saving lives, restoring safety to our community and
establishing trust. Granville County will no longer be a place where
drug traffickers feel comfortable operating. Under My
leadership, drugs will be confronted head-on—with professionalism,
accountability, and resolve.
WE WILL NOT TOLERTAE IT ANYMORE.
