GENERAL ELECTION INFORMATION

     

 

Vote in the General Election – November 3, 2026

Your voice matters. The General Election on November 3, 2026, is an opportunity for eligible voters to help shape the future of their communities, state, and country. Every vote contributes to decisions that affect public services, education, infrastructure, economic development, public safety, and other important issues.

Key Election Information

  • Election Day: Tuesday, November 3, 2026 
  •  North Carolina General Early Voting: Thursday, October 15, 2026, through Saturday, October 31, 2026, ending at 3:00 p.m. 
  • Polling Locations: Check your local election office or state election website for your assigned polling place. 
  • Early Voting: Early voting opportunities may be available before Election Day. 
  • Absentee and Mail Voting: Eligible voters may be able to vote by mail or absentee ballot, depending on state laws and requirements. 

Make a Plan to Vote

  1. Confirm your voter registration status. 
  2. Verify your polling location or request an absentee ballot if needed. 
  3. Review the candidates and issues that will appear on your ballot. 
  4. Mark your calendar and make a plan to vote.

  To vote in the North Carolina General Election on Tuesday, November 3, 2026, eligible voters must be registered by 5:00 p.m. on Friday, October 9, 2026. If you miss the registration deadline, you may still be able to register and vote during the early voting period through same-day registration. Be sure to verify your registration status below and make a plan to vote.
